The Mogadishu Tech Summit is annual gathering that focuses on the need for Somalia government, business community, donors, private sector, entrepreneurs and development organizations to apply innovation and technology to drive a sustainable development as Somalia strives towards more stable, prosperous and technologically viable.
Panelists will explore how private sector innovation and technology can underpin change for the better, towards achieving safe and secure food and water supplies.

3Chief of Staff, Office of Somali President
Dr. Nur Dirie Hersi is the Chief of Staff, Office of Somali President. He holds a Ph.D in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from University of Missouri in USA. Dr. Hersi became the first pioneer of Information Technology in Somalia where he setup Fursade Engineering & Consulting Services.
Dr. Hersi worked for over 25 years in Canada teaching colleges and worked too as consultant, Oracle and DB2 Database Administrator. Hersi was nominated in December 2018 as ID4AfricaAmbassador for Somalia for his work and research in digital identity
Hub Manager at Harhub
Khadra Ali is a social entrepreneur who co-founded Gashanti Unity, Digital Hargeisa, and Refuge Productions. She was born in Hargeisa, raised in Toronto and she is passionate about community building. Also she is committed to empowering young entrepreneurs to realize their potential and creating a space for them to thrive. Currently she is the Hub Manager of Harhub, an entrepreneurial and innovation hub supporting start-ups and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Hussein Haji, Ph.D., has served for twenty years with the Ministry of Agriculture in Somalia. He worked as Senior Researcher and a lecturer of Genetics and Plant Breeding at the Somali National University. He travelled to Canada where he obtained his Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding at the University of Guelph. Currently he is the executive director of SatgFilsan which is the leading organization in technology testing and introduction of agricultural innovations leading to economic growth in Somalia.

Tewodros (Teddy) is a vibrant speaker, leader, and educator with over 10 years of experience in the field of leadership development. Creating the Center for African Leadership Studies (CALS) as a response to the growing need for servant leaders in his home country of Ethiopia, he has designed and facilitated trainings for government offices, non-governmental organizations, and private enterprises.
