Dr. Nur Dirie Hersi is the Chief of Staff, Office of Somali President. He holds a Ph.D in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from University of Missouri in USA. Dr. Hersi became the first pioneer of Information Technology in Somalia where he setup Fursade Engineering & Consulting  Services.
Dr. Hersi worked for over 25 years in Canada teaching colleges and worked too as consultant, Oracle and DB2 Database Administrator. Hersi was nominated in December 2018 as ID4AfricaAmbassador for Somalia for his work and research in digital identity
